media post

This chart is explaining what media sites voter got their new on the election in the 2016 elections. The main news source for Trump voters is Fox and the main source for Clinton voters is CNN. One cause might be the fact the as of now the American citizen are becoming much more politically polarized so this is beginning to change the way media tends to lean due to the biases of the hosts on the show. Around about 40% of trump voter watch fox because on a political spectrum fox news tends to lean more right wing. And as you can see Clinton voters about 18% of the voters tend to watch CNN because this news media tends to lean more left wing. The reason why I think that liberals and conservatives tend to watch news that fits with their ideologies is that they see what they want to see and what fits with their political beliefs is shown through the media sources.

Political parties

Hi, I am Ninon Laurent. I will be talking about Political Parties.

It seems to be that over time the actual benefit of the GOP tax bill is going down for the less fortunate community and the middle class. I am comparing two different graphs that are expected at different time periods. The major trends seem to be the te wealthy group of people get the most when it comes to tax returns. The estimated effect of the GOP Tax Bill in 2018 is that the groups of people making 500k-1million are getting much more benefits. The estimated effect of the GOP Tax Bill in 2027 it shows that the groups that make more than 1 million get more benefits. In this, it shows the less fortunate community has no drastic benefits like the wealthy. In 2018, the average benefit for the people who make less than 10k are having a $10 benefit, and as time goes in 2027 the less fortunate community that makes less than 10k are getting no benefit. This shows that overall the only people who are given the opportunity to benefit from this tax bill are the very wealthy business and farm owners and the people of smaller income which need the most amount of help are given no benefit from this tax bill. This shows that more or less the overall effect of this tax bill is that it  only seems to benefit old rich wealthy people  that seems to be republican.

Interest groups

Hello, I am ninon Laurent and I would like to talk about interest groups and their effect on Congress.

Interest groups have a national influence on politics today, even though Americans don't understand them.

An Interest group is an organized group of individuals that have one goal in common and try to make it an interest for members of Congress. They also have normally one main focus. For example the NRA they are the National Rifle Association which focus on gun-friendly laws. They also do research in the field of their goal to bring to the Congress members to appeal to their beliefs. They also try to put direct pressure on elected officials and they also donate money to people who are going to be elected.

The ideological perspective of this interest group is Far liberal. We can tell this by looking at the evidence stated ¨ The Affordable Care Act provides Americans with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that if they need affordable, comprehensive health care, they can get it.¨  This is a far liberal thing to say because Solid liberals believe in helping everyone and making the government legislation that can be helpful to its people. The author of this passage uses logos and pathos like when they use facts to back up the appeals to emotions, the author puts facts that appeal to logos and pathos. This is a quote that shows the logos aspect of this article¨ The high cost of health coverage has traditionally kept as many as 48 million Americans out of health insurance.¨  This shows logos because it is a fact and not an opinion based answer.  There is another quote that shows the pathos aspect,¨Passed in 2010, the Affordable Care Act now gives Americans new opportunities to get affordable, high-quality, comprehensive health coverage—many for the first time in their lives.¨ The reason this shows pathos is that it gives this kind of emotion that they are so sweet and this is amazing.    One possible cultural influence on the point of view of the author/interest group is the impact of having people who are not able to get health care because of how expensive it is. The cultural interest is possibly the other members with there opinions that start shaping the way you think about politics.

My political ideology and where they came from .

Hello, my name is Ninon Laurent. I am a Washington state resident. I am writing this for my  APGOPO class. I am an Opportunity Democrat.

Opportunity Democrat believes are in this big idea of immigration due to their hard work and talent,  and also government regulations for businesses that are necessary for the public interest. These are some overall views that all Opportunity Democrats have but the ones that are most important to me are Immigration and homosexuality and the equality for every race.

As of the  Opportunity Democrats political belief, we prefer bigger government and  more services and as well more government involvement to aid the economy.  More services such as Affordable healthcare and also stricter laws to help people stay safe and protected. In comparison to the Core Conservatives beliefs, they prefer smaller government and fewer services and as well less government involvement.  They want freedom, they want the states to make their own laws depending on the economic structure.   We believe in the ability to have abortions but for a core conservative, the ability to have an abortion is illegal.  Opportunity democrats believe in the acceptance of homosexuality but core conservatives believe that homosexuality should be discouraged by society.

My political views came from my family and my peer group because overall my family is my main way that may ideology came about because they raised to be and believe in the side that will help me get to college. The other things that happened to shape my political beliefs are friends and media because I and my friends are always online and we see so many things that conservatives and liberals believe in more the liberals view.
